What it is
Smartlook records web and native mobile sessions with event tracking, funnels, heatmaps and crash reports, and its mobile SDK support is deeper than most competitors, which mainly treat apps as an afterthought. Cisco acquired it in 2023 and has since put it on an end-of-life path: no new accounts after 31 May 2026, no renewals after 31 August 2026, and servers off on 31 August 2027.
Best for
Where it is strong
- Genuinely good native mobile replay, including Flutter and React Native.
- Always-on event tracking without pre-instrumentation.
- Reasonable pricing for mid-sized traffic.
Where it falls short
- End of life announced by Cisco: sales closed 31 May 2026, dashboards and historical data go on 31 August 2027.
- Web analytics features are behind Contentsquare and FullStory.
- Interface is less refined than the market leaders.
