Survicate vs Useberry

Feature checklists rarely decide anything. What decides it is the pricing metric, who has to write the tests, and which limitation you can live with.

Entry price

From $114 per month (annual billing, Growth)

From €83 per month (billed yearly)

What drives the bill

The metric that actually scales your invoice.

Billed on monthly survey responses, so the cost rises exactly when a survey is working. Seats and integration count are gated by tier as well, which is what usually forces the upgrade rather than the response cap.

Only annual prices are published. Growth is €83 a month for 300 responses, one seat and five interviews; Business is €659 for 2,000 responses, five seats and fifty interviews; Enterprise is quoted, from 48,000 responses a year and ten seats. Responses, seats, interviews and transcription hours can be topped up within a plan.

Free tier

10-day trial, no card. No permanently free tier.

Free plan: 10 responses a month, one project, one seat.

Adoption

Established

Survicate · since 2015

Emerging

Useberry · since 2018

Strengths

  • One survey, every channel — web, in-product, email, mobile and link — with the answers pooled rather than siloed per tool.
  • Event-triggered in-product surveys catch people at the moment the behaviour happened.
  • CRM and support integrations attach responses to a real customer record instead of an anonymous id.
  • Unmoderated tests and moderated interviews in one tool, so interview work needs no second subscription.
  • Card sorting, tree testing and the rest of the method set are included rather than priced as add-ons.
  • Recruit from your own users, Useberry's integrated pool, or through Prolific and Respondent.

Limitations

  • Priced by responses, which penalises the surveys that get answered.
  • It collects opinions, not observed behaviour; pair it with replay or analytics rather than reading it alone.
  • Survey fatigue is a real cost to your product, and nothing in the tool stops you over-asking.
  • Interviews are metered — five a month on Growth, fifty on Business.
  • The step from Growth to the next tier is steep: €83 a month to €659.
  • Integrations cover design, recruitment, calendar and meeting tools; there is no issue-tracker or chat handoff.

Best for

Product teams that want the 'why' behind an analytics drop-off without commissioning a research study.

Unmoderated tests and moderated interviews in one tool, from solo researchers to enterprise teams.
