NeoLoad vs Apache JMeter
Feature checklists rarely decide anything. What decides it is the pricing metric, who has to write the tests, and which limitation you can live with.

Strengths
- Handles enterprise protocols such as SAP GUI and Citrix that open-source tools cannot.
- APM correlation makes root-cause analysis much faster than latency graphs alone.
- Both GUI design and as-code authoring, so mixed-skill teams can share a suite.
- Protocol coverage no modern tool matches — JDBC, JMS, LDAP, mainframe-adjacent protocols.
- GUI test-plan building is accessible to testers who do not code.
- Enormous body of documentation, plugins and available expertise.
Limitations
- Expensive, with a procurement-scale sales process.
- Overkill for a straightforward web or API workload.
- Proprietary scripts do not port to other tools.
- Thread-per-user model is memory-hungry; high load needs a cluster where k6 needs one box.
- JMX test plans are XML that merges terribly in version control.
- The GUI must not be used for actual load generation, which trips up nearly every beginner.
Best for
Large enterprises performance-testing SAP, Citrix or Oracle estates.
Enterprise performance teams needing protocol breadth and a GUI-based workflow.
All of these integrate with: Jenkins.
