Tricentis Tosca vs TestCafe
Feature checklists rarely decide anything. What decides it is the pricing metric, who has to write the tests, and which limitation you can live with.

Strengths
- Unmatched coverage of enterprise packaged software, especially SAP end-to-end processes.
- Model-based design means one change updates every affected test case.
- Risk-based prioritisation is a real answer to eight-hour regression packs.
- Zero setup: no drivers, no browser downloads, works on any installed browser including mobile Safari on a real phone.
- Automatic waiting and stable selectors with very little configuration.
- Genuinely simple concurrency flag for parallel runs.
Limitations
- Expensive, and priced for organisations with a procurement department.
- Steep learning curve; most customers buy consulting alongside the licence.
- Heavy and slow compared to modern code-first tools for plain web applications.
- The proxy architecture occasionally breaks on apps with strict CSP, service workers or unusual auth flows.
- Smaller community and slower ecosystem growth than Playwright or Cypress.
- No component testing story.
Best for
Large enterprises running SAP or similar packaged systems where no open-source tool reaches.
Small teams who want a working cross-browser suite with the least possible setup.
All of these integrate with: Jenkins.
